Geometry Measurement of Lens Housings
The displacement and rotational movement of a zoom lens must be controlled precisely by their housing; for this reason lens housings can have very complex geometries. It is therefore necessary to measure, for example, the position of the running grooves and the height of the paths relative to a defined rotational angle. The Schneider Messtechnik WMM300 shaft measurement machine with its episcopic light source is ideal for these types of measurement, giving a measurement time of typically less than 3 minutes and a repeatability of less than 5 microns.
